Acceptable Use

AI is not a lawyer
PakLawAI generates information, not legal advice. Output can be wrong, biased, or out of date. You must independently verify anything you intend to act on with a licensed Pakistani advocate — especially for criminal proceedings, deadlines, financial exposure, or family-law decisions.
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses PakLawAI's AI chat, document analysis, and drafting features. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Scope of the assistant
PakLawAI is tuned for the law of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan: the Constitution, federal Acts, provincial Acts, the major procedural codes (CrPC, CPC, Qanun-e-Shahadat), and Pakistani case law. It is not trained on foreign jurisdictions. Do not rely on its output for matters governed by the law of any country other than Pakistan.
When you ask a question that requires foreign legal expertise — visas, overseas estate planning, US/UK/EU regulation — the assistant will tell you it cannot answer and point you to a qualified specialist.
2. You must verify before acting
- Statute and case citations may be wrong, out of date, or hallucinated. Verify against the official Gazette of Pakistan, the relevant provincial Gazette, or the Pakistan Code (pakistancode.gov.pk) before relying on them.
- Document templates (affidavits, notices, agreements) generated or pre-filled by the assistant must be reviewed by a licensed advocate before you sign, submit, or notarise them.
- Deadlines and procedural rules vary by court. Do not file or omit a filing based solely on what the assistant tells you.
- If you are facing arrest, a custody hearing, a bail application, or any criminal proceeding, consult a lawyer in person. Do not substitute AI output for representation.
3. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use PakLawAI to:
- Violate any law of Pakistan, including PECA 2016, the PPC, or any provincial Act.
- Plan, facilitate, or instruct others in criminal conduct — terrorism, trafficking, fraud, child sexual abuse material, harassment, doxxing, or any other offence.
- Generate content that defames, threatens, harasses, or stalks any identifiable person, including lawyers, judges, witnesses, journalists, or government officials.
- Impersonate a lawyer, a judge, a court, a regulator, the police, or any government authority — in chat, in a generated document, or in messages to other users.
- Submit false credentials, false identification documents, or false case information.
- Bypass, fraudulently obtain, resell, or otherwise abuse credits, subscriptions, or promotional grants.
- Scrape the service, reverse-engineer the system, train another model on our output or corpus, or attempt to extract our system prompts.
- Upload malware, viruses, exploit code, illegal material, or content designed to disrupt the service.
- Use the assistant to circumvent court orders, gag orders, judicial reporting restrictions, or sealed-document protections.
4. What you upload
Documents you upload (FIR copies, contracts, judgments, evidence) remain yours. By uploading them you grant PakLawAI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process them solely to provide the service to you.
Do not upload content you are not legally entitled to share. In particular, do not upload sealed court records, attorney work product that is not yours, or third-party medical or financial records without the data subject's consent.
5. Lawyers on the platform
Lawyers using PakLawAI in their professional capacity are additionally bound by the Lawyer Code of Conduct. Misrepresentation of credentials, breach of the Bar Council's rules, or any conduct that brings the profession into disrepute may result in immediate suspension and reporting to the relevant Bar Council.
6. Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion: warn, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts; remove generated or uploaded content; freeze wallets pending investigation; and cooperate with law-enforcement requests valid under Pakistani law. Where conduct appears to be a criminal offence, we may report it to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the relevant police authority, or the Bar Council.
7. Reporting abuse
