What “Bar Council Verified” means
The single most-trusted signal in Pakistani legal services is the Bar Council number. Every lawyer wearing the green “Bar Council Verified” pill on PakLawAI has cleared four checks before being allowed to take a single rupee.
- 1
Bar Council registry check
Before a lawyer is allowed to receive paid bookings, PakLawAI confirms their licence number against the relevant Pakistan Bar Council (Federal/Punjab/Sindh/KP/Balochistan) and the Supreme Court roll where applicable.
- 2
CNIC + identity verification
We match the lawyer’s NADRA CNIC against the name on their licence so a fake account can’t impersonate a real advocate.
- 3
Photo + vakalatnama on file
A clear photo, a sample vakalatnama, and proof of chamber address — all reviewed by a PakLawAI moderator before the badge goes live.
- 4
License-expiry watch
A nightly job watches licence expiry dates. The verified badge is suspended automatically the day after a lawyer’s licence lapses; payouts pause until renewal is on file.
What verification doesn’t mean
- Verification is not legal advice. PakLawAI is a directory and intake tool — your engagement with the lawyer remains directly between you and the advocate.
- A verified badge confirms identity and an active licence at the time of verification. It is not a guarantee of outcome.
- If you have evidence a lawyer’s details are wrong, email verify@paklawai.pk with the booking reference. We respond within 24h and suspend the badge while we investigate.
