Terms of Service

Important — please read carefully
PakLawAI is an AI-powered legal information tool. It is NOT a lawyer, NOT a law firm, and does NOT provide legal advice. Information generated by the Service may be inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date, or unsuitable for your specific situation. PakLawAI makes NO guarantees, warranties, or representations about the correctness or fitness of any output. Use of the Service does NOT create an attorney-client relationship. For binding legal advice you must consult a licensed advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Pakistan. All payments to PakLawAI for credits, subscriptions, or top-ups are FINAL and NON-REFUNDABLE except where mandated by Pakistani law or in the limited cases described in Section 6 below. You agree that PakLawAI, its operators, employees, and contractors carry NO liability for any decision you make, action you take, or harm you suffer based on output produced by this Service.
These Terms govern your use of PakLawAI. By creating an account or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PakLawAI (the "Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Nature of the Service — Not Legal Advice
PakLawAI provides general legal information for educational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, and use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship.
AI output is generated probabilistically. It can be wrong, biased, or out of date. You must independently verify any information with a qualified Pakistani advocate before acting on it, especially for matters involving criminal proceedings, deadlines, financial exposure, or family law decisions.
- The Service is for general informational and educational use only.
- It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Pakistan.
- Output may not reflect the most current statutes, case law, or rules of court.
- You alone are responsible for any action you take based on information from the Service.
3. No Warranties, No Guarantees
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
PakLawAI specifically disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. AI-generated content may contain errors and must not be relied on as a substitute for professional legal advice.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, PakLawAI and its operators, employees, contractors, and partners shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, lost evidence, missed deadlines, adverse legal outcomes, or reputational harm.
In no event shall PakLawAI’s total cumulative liability to you under these Terms exceed the GREATER of (a) the total amount you paid to PakLawAI in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) PKR 5,000.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain warranties or damages. To the extent any limitation is unenforceable, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
5. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Pakistani law to register an account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, abuse the credit system, attempt to impersonate a lawyer or legal authority, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.
6. Credits, Subscriptions & Refunds
PakLawAI runs on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features (chat, document upload, voice queries, drafting, deep research, etc.). Granted (free) credits expire 30 days after grant; purchased credits do not expire.
All purchases are FINAL. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, dissatisfaction with AI output, accidental purchases, or unused credits, except in the narrow scenarios listed below or where mandated by Pakistani consumer-protection law.
- Refund within 7 days if less than 25% of the purchased credits have been consumed (auto-approved).
- Refund for duplicate charges caused by a payment-processor error.
- Refund where required by Pakistani consumer-protection law or by your card-issuer’s chargeback rules.
No refunds for AI output you disagree with
Because AI output is probabilistic and provided as information only, dissatisfaction with the quality, length, tone, or correctness of an answer is not a basis for a refund.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any Pakistani law or regulation, or facilitate criminal conduct.
- Submit false or misleading information, including impersonating a lawyer, judge, or government official.
- Bypass, fraudulently obtain, resell, or otherwise abuse credits, subscriptions, or promotional grants.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, train competing models on, or reproduce the Service or its underlying corpus.
- Harass, defame, or threaten other users, lawyers, or third parties.
- Upload malware, viruses, exploit code, or content designed to disrupt the Service.
8. Lawyer Profiles & Consultations
Lawyers listed on PakLawAI represent that they are enrolled advocates in good standing with a Pakistani Bar Council. While we make reasonable efforts to verify credentials, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of every profile.
Any consultation booked through PakLawAI is a direct engagement between you and the lawyer. PakLawAI is a platform intermediary; we are not a party to the resulting attorney-client relationship and assume no liability for the advice or services provided.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, its software, design, branding, and curated legal corpus are owned by PakLawAI and protected by Pakistani and international intellectual-property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
Content you submit (queries, uploaded documents, feedback) remains yours. By submitting it you grant PakLawAI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process it solely to provide and improve the Service.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using PakLawAI you consent to the data-processing practices described there.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally with us first, in writing, before initiating any formal proceedings.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without notice. We will notify registered users of material changes to these Terms by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@paklawai.pk. We respond within 7 working days.
